  (Institut für Übersetzen und Dolmetschen, Institute of Translation and Interpreting)

• Studied law as a subsidiary course (European law, civil law, public law)

• Part-time technical training course at the Johannes-Gutenberg University in Mainz (parallel to full-time work) in Applied Language and Cultural Sciences, Germersheim (production engineering, automotive engineering, materials science, engines and machines, electricity)

• Several years spent living and working in the USA, UK and France

• Overseas semester at the Institut Supérieur de Traduction et d'Interprétation in Paris

• 5 years' experience as a full-time interpreter and translator in the development department of an automotive manufacturer in Southern Germany

• Since 2004: continuous participation in professional training events with a technical background (including electrical engineering, automation engineering, process engineering, automotive engineering and engine technology, measuring and control technology, aerospace engineering)

• Certified as a liaison interpreter at the District Court of Stuttgart

• Member of the German Association of Translators and Interpreters (Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Übersetzer, BDÜ) and the Association of Conference Interpreters (Verband der Konferenzdolmetscher, VKD)
